Still Nothing Happening.

We've been home a week.  That's all it took for my house to become a tip again.   For the yard to have crap from one point to the next, for me to be stuck on this bleedin' thing too often, for my life to become what I don't want it to.

It's Friday, I will be out for a bit this morning, have the grandkid this evening/night.  As soon as she has gone tomorrow I am going to get stuck into the house, get that looking reasonable, then the front yard, then work my way around.  Then start the mowing again and work my way around.

If nothing else though I will make time to get the pig fat rendered this weekend...So much for my monthly challenges.  They have gone to pot and it's only February!

It seems to be taking me forever to do the basics and I am not making time to work on any projects that I wanted to.  And of course this bleedin' thing!!

Better get back into it, lots more to do before I leave.

Under Water.

It rained last night, most of the night I think.  I knew it was wet outside this morning when the trough in the bathroom gurgled at me.  Not a cute little baby gurgle but a *everything is under water and the septic and leachdrain is full* gurgle.  Went out to let the chooks out and yep!  Had to walk through the gulf of Barbs Backyard to get there.

The wishing well hole is overflowing, the duckpond sump hole is overflowing, the driveway is under water as it everywhere else.  And it's still raining!

Luckily Hubby is home today so he may be able to get the bigger pump going and get some of it diverted  out into the old irrigation drain out the back

We have already pumped away more water than some people use all year and it was bothering me that we weren't keeping the water on our land but I am thinking differently this morning.  I want it all pumped away and I want it all pumped away NOW!!

I m not sure if that will even be possible but if we don't get rid of some of it I don't fancy the chances of  me getting my car out tomorrow.  And toilet flushing will be a no goer...showering tonight...nowhere for that water to go either...Bugger!  No point in doing all of yesterdays dishes now,  Hmmm, maybe there is some good to it all

I have been reading a few blogs over the last week or so and wanting to leave a comment on a couple but Blogger wont let me.  It is annoying.

I was reading http://thelifeandtimesofanordinarygirl.blogspot.com/  and really wanted to wish her the best luck but can't.

The question on boobs or travel from  http://www.savvymumma.com/2011/08/boobs-or-travel.html#comment-form   Nah, no comment from me allowed so she doesn't get to read my wisdom.

There have been others.  Many others.

I'm sure it will fix inself in time but it annoys me.

Coffee and *get a life* time.

Can't Breath Again.

This is a bit of a whinge as I had to go to the doctor again this morning so feel free to skip. (wish I could skip. lol)
A bit of background...I was (am) *fat and unfit* and tried for nearly 2 years to rectify the problem but didn't seem to get any fitter no matter what I tried.  Toward the end of last year I started getting chest pains and not being able to breath whenever I exerted myself.  It got to the stage that I was huffing and puffing just getting into bed and a quick walk across the yard had me clutching my chest and gasping for air.
Went to the doctor at the end of 2009 to find out why.  Had heaps of tests and they showed that my heart and lungs were good and healthy but I was iron deficient anaemic, I had an ulcer.  A few more things wrong but nothing serious.
Fast forward 10 months of taking tablets and more tests and I am right back where I was last December.

The doctor this morning was a different one from the one I have been seeing since last year and after reading my information and results from all the tests he says that my problem is "very complex" and if this lot of extra tablets don't make a difference than he would recommend my seeing a hematologist.   I asked about an iron injection in the butt but he says that wouldn't work as it looks like the iron is there now but not being used.  More blood tests need to be taken but I am really over it.  I just want to be able to function in the way I used to a few years ago.  This bloke says that it will be hard to improve on the fitness until the problem is sorted.

I feel like crawling into bed and sleeping the day away.  But I need lunch first.

So, whinge over.  Now, what to do.  I will continue to eat properly.  I will still do the walking that I do now.  I will try the bike again.  I will continue to take the bleedin' tablets.  I won't give in and eat crap and do nothing even though I want to a lot more than I used to.

The thing is though...I don't want to have to always take medicine to work on the symptoms.  I would like the cause found and fixed.  This doctor says that it's not that easy.    I will take this lot of tablets and if they work I will keep taking them but I also want more answers so will asked more questions at the next doctor visit.

Catch Up Day.

I need to do have a *catch up* day and as that is doing everything what I needed to do last weekend plus what I need to do today I really should be out there doing it insteat of in here having breakfast.  But hey, I needed food.  And a coffee!

I rode the bike around the block last Friday, then an hours walk the same day.  A ride on Sat and a bit of mowing and I'm out for the rest of the weekend.  Did a bit on Monday but my hands weren't really working properly so after too many accidents called it a day.  Not home all day Tuesday so have heaps to try and do to catch up but needing to remember not to go overboard as I am still not *quite right*

I won't go for a ride this morning.
The mowing and whippersnippering will be left.
I won't be able to clean out the chookyards as that's involves raking and carrying bags of wet hay...might just throw some dry hay in them and do them next weekend.
Can't vacuum and that's a bugger as Hubby is due home today.
Wood box needs filling up.

I need to do some planting.  That's easy enough, doesn't matter if I drop things there.
I'll be able to sit in the sun and finish my book.
A short walk is doable.
Wow, sounds like a busy busy day...I better go get started.

BLEEP! BLEEP! BLEEP! Cow.

A while ago I mentioned how I had left a gate open and was lucky that the cows didn't get in and eat our food.  I have been really good with the gates since then.  I go outside this morning and see this..

The bleedin' thing has eaten 1/2dozen Brocolli, a patch of peas, a dozen small cabbage, the green ones that we prefer!!  Two beds of lettuce.  Broken some trees in the shade area.

May be able to save this lot of peas.
I am no longer confident that I will meet our No Buy Veg challenge.  I want to cry, I was *this* close!  Oh well, there is still enough stuff to last the rest of this month so I'll just have to wait and see.  We do grow in another area that it didn't get to but that stuff is not as close to being ready as this lot was.

Another bad thing is that I have no idea how it got into the backyard.  All the gates are shut properly, no fences are down...So how do I stop it from doing it again.  This black cow is the only one to escape from where it should be so I'm thinking it's time we had some beef in the freezer.

Some People Aren't Nice...2

Hubby went into town and when he gets back here he comes inside and says that the TOSSA from last night had taken some glasses with him and smashed them on the road just up from our place.

We went and picked up the bigger pieces and I brushed up the smaller bits but it shows that the damage last night was intentional.  He is a TOSSA!  ( T and Hubby say I should spell that with er but I like the way it looks with the A so no spelling police needed, thanks)

Some People Aren't Nice...

They are mean and stupid.

I have been decluttering and I had a couple of tables of stuff outside our front fence with a sign saying, *free, help yourself*   The tables were up near the fence, not near the road.  I bring the sign in out of the way before dark.

There is no footpath but there is plenty of room for anyone or anything to get past.

So why did some idiot have to walk past late last night and flip a table over.  The table with plates, cups, glasses on.  I went out this morning and it's all smashed.  Why would someone do that?
Hubby said he heard a noise and heard people talking as they walked past but they were way past our place when he went outside.  It wasn't until this morning that he knew what the noise was.
He says they must have been drunk.  Drunk?  So that makes it OK to do something mean like that?
Well, it's not OK and I am quite cross about it.

If drinking makes you do stupid, mean things then don't drink.  If you are just a tossa that likes doing mean and stupid things then...I won't say what I think they should do but I think we would all have our own thoughts on it.

This table was too close to our fence to have been accidentally crashed into.

I know the idea of having the tables out there with the *free* sign is a good one...there is another car out there now and the people have taken a few things.  Maybe I will just have to bring them in every night.

Too Much Too Do But It's Coffee Time.

It's 10.15am here and once again I am having trouble sticking to one thing and getting it finished.
I need to get more seeds in, I need to mow, edges need doing, 2 chooks need to be unbroodied, there's more mowing to do, more edges, the shed needs to be cleaned out so the guys can do the pig and mostly it is my *stuff*
Hubby started shifting things around in the garden shed for me a couple of weeks ago but now I have to decide where I want stuff and get that organised. A lot of the stuff from the old shed will go in to the GS but I need to get that done so I can put the stuff from the OS away. Loud cry of frustration here!

Now I am in here writing this and you all can see how I am not out there doing anything about it. Bad Barb. But I have been out there all morning, well since 7ish, kinda doing stuff, wondering what to do, mooching around the place... see I've done lots already and now I need a coffee.

Too Much To Do...

Again...Still...Anyway, I have too much to do.

I had too much to do last week but a couple of days of not being able to use my left arm and I now have more too much to do.

Not sure what was wrong with the arm but my oh my it hurt. Could have been something with the fibromyalgia but I think it was different. Maybe too much whippersnippering. Maybe too much lifting the grandkid up.

Seems to be OK today though so after my coffee I will get out there and make a start. Might get a couple of hours in before it gets too hot for me.

Cat Flaps

It's early, too early to get up yet. The clock still has a 4 as the first number, that's how early it is. So I'm lying there (laying there?) whatever, I'm still in bed wanting to sleep when FLAP... FLAP... FLAP... FLAP... FLAP... I think of the noise as a "flap' but it could be more of a 'bang'

I know what it is, it is STUPID Straycat trying to get out of the catflap.
My cat just pushes through it with his head to come and go but this thing. It uses it's paw to push it open so when it takes it's paw away to walk through...FLAP.

This cat has been living here for a couple of years now so you'd think he would have learnt. But it doesn't even know where it's real home is so that says it all, doesn't it.

Anyway I get up, feed the thing, go back to bed. I think I go back to sleep but I roll over and...the sun gets me right in the eye. Something tells me it's time to get up.

At least the time has a 5 as the first number...
